Memo in his workshop with RG II. The barrel is 105cm from roller axle
to mechanism. The Colombian mahogany (abarco) gun body is 4x4 cm in
cross section, with a rail and some channels either side of the rail.
The channels help to keep the rubber ends from pushing the spear out of
the rail. It has a range of 5m from the tip of the 1.4m x 6.5mm spear.
Muzzle (loaded). Note the stainless steel fittings which
stabilize the axle and prevents the rubber from coming off.
Muzzle side (loaded).
Muzzle (unloaded). Note the grooves cut into the barrel stock
on either side of the rail. This gun has a wider barrel stock than RG
I. This makes it unnecesary to have extra wings to counter muzzle
kick-up. (The barrel has more mass and water resistance.)
Memo cast this handle from scrap aluminium himself. It is
covered with a rubberized automotive anticorrosive.
Does it work? Of course, Alfredo stoned this 23kg great
barracuda with one of Memo's guns.
